About Us

We are a family of 6 that works hard and plays hard together. As young parents we would dream of what we wanted our family to be like 20+ years from now. What we wanted more than anything was for our kids and extended family to feel a “sense of place” that they could return to time and time again. A place that held memories of their childhoods and generations of their family.

While we were building our companies, we decided to start purchasing and renovating properties, starting small and slowly getting bigger and more luxurious. We have remodeled many homes and taught our children the value of “sweat equity” and building more than just a pretty space, but a home that is comfortable and can support the crawling of babies and aging grandparents. The properties in Happy Vacation Homes are where we personally travel to and vacation to every year. Though our homebase is in Colorado, we live in Maine for a few weeks every Summer, take vacations in Mexico and ski in Breckenridge. We have taken some properties down to the studs and rebuilt them and we have done a quick enhancement on others, but we have put effort into making them the places that we want to be at with our family for many years to come. We are so happy to be sharing our properties now with all of you.

Carmen is an Entrepreneur that owns various companies in Colorado including Sample Supports and Crystal Joys. Mark is a General Contractor and owns Overalls Property Co. Together they have built, remodeled & designed many properties over the years, including the homes that are part of Happy Vacation Homes.

Policies

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
